The 2020 Subaru Outback is all new after a complete model redesign, and there are lots of developments to get excited about.

Design: Styling is completely new in the 2020 Outback. While the overall shape and aesthetic are consistent with the previous generation, Subaru has introduced a new design language for individual elements like the headlamps, taillamps, grille, and bumpers.

Performance: The new Outback keep's the old model's base 2.5-liter engine. However, it's been re-worked by Subaru engineers to deliver better fuel economy and power. The big news is that the 2020 Outback ditches the old six-cylinder engine option in favor of a new turbocharged powerplant that makes 260 horsepower. Naturally, the 2020 Outback will come with standard symmetrical all-wheel drive.

Cabin: Subaru has redesigned the interior of the 2020 Outback as well. New shapes, materials, and panels are found throughout. One of the highlights of the new model is the addition of an available 11.6-inch center touchscreen display.

Safety: Many of the innovative safety technologies of the last generation Outback carry over to the new one. For instance, the 2020 Outback comes standard with Subaru EyeSight driver assist technology.
